Networking is a like a muscle – you need to work it to get the best results. And you can’t expect to gain results straightaway. But you do need a system, a networking plan. Caitlín O’Connor is widely acknowledged as one of the leading experts in networking, lead generation and marketing. She will guide LEO Dublin City Women in Business Network members through a series of exercises aimed at honing our networking muscles so we can achieve more from our businesses.

No company can survive without customers. What if you were to retain all your customers that you did business with over the last year, receive a similar referral from each of these customers and then find new customers? Your business would be thriving. Referrals have the highest potential of payoff. When you motivate others to refer you they become another channel to market. Caitlín will show us how much more successful we could be if our values customers, suppliers and business partners were willing, capable and active in communicating what we do to people in their circle of influence.

Caitlín is an Ambassador with Dublin Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of IIBN. In 2010 Caitlín published a learning resource on networking which is CPD accredited called “Engage Lead Generation through Networking”. Caitlín is a regular contributor to radio and is retained by a number of MBA programs including Smurfit School, DIT and MBA Association. In addition Caitlín is an accredited Emotional Intelligence practitioner assisting companies to also grow through their people and leadership. Caitlín started her career with Aer Lingus. Having spent 11 years with the airline she progressed to spent a further decade in telecommunications, holding positions of trust with ESAT Telecom, Nevada tele.com, Point Information Systems and Irish Broadband (a subsidiary company of NTR Plc).
